Josh Groban Lancaster Concert reviews
Very Disappointed
I've been to many shows and witnessed numerous bands, and I am in disbelief that, out of all the artists, recorded tracks were utilized in this performance. As a devoted Josh Groban fan since the early days, having attended his concerts about four times in the past dating back to 2003, this was a huge letdown. It's disheartening to see such a talented band or singer rely on this approach. My perception of the band has unfortunately shifted, and likely not for the better.
To the team of this band, if you happen to come across these reviews, I implore you on behalf of your loyal fans to cease using the tracks. At the peak of your popularity, this decision will result in a significant loss of respect, and this band deserves better. While I understand the desire to preserve Brent's voice, I would prefer to hear him showcase his true talent by adjusting the songs accordingly, rather than resorting to this method.
For anyone associated with the band, particularly Brent, your supporters will eventually catch on, and this choice will have lasting repercussions. You were among the greatest live performers I've witnessed, and it's perplexing to see you opt for this route.
And in case there are doubts about fans noticing, during the third song of your set, specifically the chorus of "I Dare You," the first instance of track usage was evident. Tracks were only incorporated during the choruses throughout the performance, perhaps around six songs in total if my memory serves me right.
